We are "Something New"



We are a collective of ordained spiritualist ministers and inclusive officiants licenced to perform weddings in the province of Ontario. We passionately craft customized ceremonies worthy of your forever memories. The clients we serve are looking for unique and personalized ceremonies that convey warmth, include a dash of light humor, and offer a level of customization that reflects their unique Love Stories.



We are professional writers and public speakers, comfortable in large and small groups. Collectively, we have officiated in the most intimate of backyard spaces, to the largest of venues - once Jodi was even dressed as a unicorn. We can incorporate special moments for blending families, such as sand ceremonies, and embrace all forms of ritual and spiritual beliefs, for instance Celtic and Wiccan traditions of handfasting. Each time we leave a ceremony, it is with a heart full of gratitude for being chosen to share such a sacred day in the lives of couples and their families we serve.


We've been featured on the CBC and in The Wedding Ring. We are known for our creativity, public speaking skills, go with the flow attitude, and for exceeding expectations.

About Us



Greetings,


My name is Jodi Hall, Rev, PhD. (she/they) and I am the founder of Something New.


I am licensed to perform weddings in the province of Ontario and a licensed, ordained Metaphysical Minister (a.k.a. a contemporary spiritual minister who holds space for all belief systems) performing ceremonies across the lifespan (i.e. weddings, baby blessings, celebrations of life, first and last breath transitions).


I bring with me into each client interaction, a lifetime's worth of experiences accompanying people through some of life's most sacred transitions. I have traveled the world, from various countries within Africa, to the Arctic, Thailand, Caribbean Islands, throughout Europe and Australia. This travel has introduced me to ceremony and customs practiced around the world, leaving me with a profound sense of reverence for the diversity of traditions, beliefs, and spiritual and religious practices.


I have witnessed the power of ceremonies to bring together individuals, families & communities in celebration and healing alike. I serve all partnerships in planning a ceremony that reflects their uniqueness, with a soft spot for people who enjoy walking off the beaten path. I believe in ceremonies to honour all relationships; with a strong commitment to serving 2LGBTQIA+ partnerships, poly unions, end of life transitions and wedding ceremonies. It is every person's right to determine their family, and I happily walk beside each unique individual that chooses me to be a part of their journey.

I am the Rev Tori Taylor (she/her), and I am a licensed Metaphysical Minister, founder of Wildflower Ministry. Originally from Sarnia, I’ve made a home in London with my wife, Katie, over the last 8 years. I have a BA in Women’s Studies and have a background in professional project management. These both have served me well. Ministry is an area in which I can share my gifts of compassion and empathy with folks for all types of celebrations. I am committed to tailoring your ceremony to be a perfect fit for your family, supporting your needs and choices to ensure that these monumental moments will become beautiful memories. I am new to the Something New Officiant team, but find myself already busy with upcoming ceremonies.

I am Rev Marci Easton. (she/her). I have spend the greater part of my adult life giving back to community. I am deeply committed to adult education and a passionate public speaker. As the newest member of our Something New Officiant family, I bring a wisdom about life, relationships, & family that I hope inspires those around me, I have an easy going personality, well refined organizational skills, an infections sense of humor and just an overall "realness" about me. Marci is the founder of Path of Life Ministries, and is available for Weddings, Celebrations of Life, and Marriage Preparation Classes.
